Meet The Body Bartender Heather Losik

Hi Beauties,

"My love for vintage fashion, burlesque shows, rock-n-roll music & pin-up girls'" is how Heather Losik, creator and founder of "The Body Bartender" describes the inspirations behind her smart, fun and innovative skin care line. The paraben free products like the Tattoo Protection, Bikini Candy Sea Salt Scrub, Tattoo Polish, Body Bronzer & her personal favorite Peek-a-Booty Tush Tightener are adorned with super cute pin-up girls inspired by her grandmother who was a pin-up model.

Yet the products aren't the only things that make this brand edgy and unique, it's also its mission to be socially responsible.  The Body Bartender is not tested on animals, in fact it hopes to abolish animal testing all together! It also donates a portion of every sale to selected charities.  If you look at the bottles, you'll notice a ribbon symbolizing the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout for Cancer Fund there is also a dog and cat symbolizing the Animal Alliance. And as Heather puts it, " What does a rat, a cat, a monkey or a dog have in common with me???"

Heather who grew up in Kansas & lives in LA, created the skincare line because she's a "self-professed beauty junkie."  As a kid she spent her parents "hard earn money" on skin care & has always taken care of her skin so it was only natural for her to create her own line! A skin care line that worked, is affordable & appeals to everyone, it's about making her customers feel good, pampered and luscious.

The Body Bartender is much more than just Heather's love for skincare, it's about sharing her way of life.  "I always thought of myself as the girl that was "serving up" advice to her friends on how to take care of their skin, follow a proper diet, and encourage exercise regularly."   This is how she came up with the concept of "The Body Bartender"
Her goal is to create a place, "a store front", that captures the laid back feel of a bar with the pampering of a spa, hence her brand motto "please drench responsibly."   If Heather has it her way, people's happy hour won't just be your local pub but at your local The Body Bartender.
I recommend you check out her products by clicking here or to join her on twitter click here & for Facebook click here!

The Body Bartender Tattoo Protection Review & Swatches

Hi Beauties!
I am so very excited to bring this to you! As some of you may already know, I absolutely LOVE tattoos. I have 8, my 2 recent ones just last Saturday! Every Summer it's such a pain covering up the tattoos with sunscreen. Its oily & white ends up covering the beautiful art and colors of tattoos. But in order to preserve your tattoo & its color you must cover them up with sunscreen. NOT any more!!!
The Body Bartender has found a way to protect your art & show it for its beauty with their amazing product called Tattoo Protection. Tattoo Protection offers an SPF 30 to help keep you protected from harmful rays of the sun. This product is unscented which is a plus for those with sensitive skin & who are sensitive to scents. The sunscreen comes out as a white cream from the tube. It applies white but in about 30 seconds it dries completely sheer. The formula is not sticky and is not greasy! I know, awesome right!!! It's everything I ever wanted in a sunscreen! And it's a pink tube!! The pink tube has a pinup girl climbing a ladder on the front. On the back are photos of her tattoos and the other places she covers up with sunscreen! In the foreground is are images of old school tattoos e.g. anchors, sailor girl, cherries, hearts, stars, sirens.....its a piece of art in itself! My favorite is the quote on the tube "You're a work of art Protect your assets!"  I have some photos below to show you.
NOTE This product is not only for tattoos!!! It can be used all over the body to protect you from the sun! And let's be honest, how cute is this packaging?? I rather pull a pink, pinup girl designed tube out of my bag than the regular brown bottle!! This should be sold at all beach shops, tattoo parlors & pool side shops around the world! And BEST of all, NO ANIMAL TESTING!!!!!!
EVERYONE needs this for the Summer! Yes all of you!

Buxom True Hue Blush Luvitate Review & Swatches

Hi Beauties,
Here is another color from the Buxom True Hue Blush collection. The color is Luvitate. For my skin tone Luvitate is too bare. I have been using it at a glow/radiance if you will & I really like it. It adds this healthy radiant sheen to my skin. My mom is fair skin & it looks amazing as a blush on her. It is a soft sheer peachy nude shade. I do enjoy its stay power & the appearance of healthy skin it gives me!
As all the others, it is a full size blush in a sleek black compact with the Buxom logo on the lid with a full size mirror opposite of the blush.

You can purchase Buxom True Hue Blush by clicking here or visiting your local Sephora. Please be advised that as of January 1st Buxom is exclusive to Sephora so it can only be purchased there ;)

MAC Viva Glam Nicki & Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner Review & Swatches

Hi Beauties,
So happy to bring these to you! I love beauty with a cause ;)
MAC VIVA GLAM Campaign brings you a beautiful rich yellow pink called Viva Glam Nicki for the famous rapper Nicki Minaj and an amazing Lip Conditioner from the very handsome singer, song writer, actor & philanthropist Ricky Martin! The Lip Conditioner is clear & super moisturizing! A must have for everyone, boys & girls!! It does have a very light scent to it but it is not overwhelming in any way.  Nicki's lipstick is a bright pink with a hint of coral. I found it to be a little to bright for me now (I need a tan lol) if I apply it as a lip stick but I have been using it every day as a lip stain & I love it! Just dab it onto the lips instead of swiping it & it is a gorgeous pink lip stain!
Every cent from the sale of the Viva Glam Nicki & the Ricky Lip Conditioner goes towards helping Men, Women & Children living with & affected by HIV/AIDS For more information please click here to visit MACAIDSFUND.ORG

Here is Viva Glam Nicki blotted on the left & applied directly from the tube as a lipstick on the right. See the difference?

Like other Viva Glam products, these are limited edition so get them while you can! Click here for a direct link to MAC's VIVA GLAM page or visit your local MAC store. You can find your nearest MAC store by clicking here!

Buxom True Hue Blush Rendezvous & Brush Review & Swatches

Hi Beauties,
Today I bring you Buxom True Hue Blush in Rendezvous & the Buxom Blush Brush!
I've been wearing the buxom blushes for about a month now. The one I am reviewing today is Rendezvous a gorgeous soft raspberry with gold twinkles. It comes in a sleek black case that flips open with a mirror on the inner part of the lid. This blush is buildable & last all day long. The colors are not very pigmented but with two swipes, you are good to go. Please note that I simply press my brush into the palette & apply. If you swirl your brush on the palette you will pick up more product & won't have to double swipe.
Now for the brush! The brush is a full tapered head with a silver metal handle. The brush head is similar to the Multi-Tasking Brush that came out in the Purist kit a few years back. It is ultra soft. I always recommend washing all brushes before use, especially this one. The hairs are dyed & may alter the look of your blush.
All in all I am really enjoying the Buxom True Hue Blush in Rendezvous! It gives me a beautiful healthy glow that last all day!

Here are some photos of the brush.

Here is the blush!

You can purchase any of the Buxom Blushes by clicking here or visiting your nearest Sephora! To purchase the Buxom Blush Brush click here or visit Sephora!

Peace & Rendezvous Sparkles,
 Jess

Too Faced Matte Eye Palette Review & Swatches (picture heavy)

Hi Beauties,
Here it is finally! My favorite matte eye palette ever! I am so excited about sharing this with you! Although most of you know I am not a big fan of matte, these are amazing! I am in love!
These palettes from Too Faced are so awesome! They contain 9 eye shadows & 3 different application tip cards in a compact package. The application tip cards are in a slide-in compartment on the lid of the compact. Neat right?  I love that the 3 lighter, base shades are about 3 times larger than the other shades. The shadows are powder but they are super creamy & silky in texture. They are nicely pigmented. There is a total of 3 looks, Day, Classic & Fashion but the possibilities of looks are endless with these gorgeous 9 shades! For the Day look you have Tufted Suede is a soft camel shade, Chinchilla is a gorgeous milk chocolate brown & Coffee Bean is a beautiful rich dark chocolate. For a Classic look you have Velveteen Bunny a soft cream vanilla, Pebbles a gorgeous wet cement grey & London Fog a deepest navy blue. And for your Fashion look you get Fresh Linen a beautiful softest pink, Vintage Violet a muddy violet & Midnight a gorgeous charcoal grey.

You can purchase this cool palette from Too Faced online shop by clicking here or at Sephora by clicking here. And the purchase price is just $36, AWESOME!!!

Peace & No Sparkles LOL
